Lumera forms new bioscience subsidiary

Nanotechnology company Lumera Corp. said it formed a subsidiary known as Plexera Bioscience LLC, which will serve as the operations unit of its bioscience business.

Board member Joseph Vallner will serve as chairman and chief executive of the new subsidiary, the company said in a statement.

Lumera said it has engaged Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc. to assist it in evaluating partnering and financing alternatives over the coming months.
